What challenges we faced:
Our client, a leader in self-service technology, needed a display solution for their fast-food ordering kiosks.
The display would need to:
-
Withstand constant public interaction (touch).
-
Combat high ambient light and direct glare.
-
Maintain thermal efficiency despite high brightness output
Our Solution:
We analyzed the specific mechanical and optical requirements and delivered the INF-1503XTLAPC-U1800 open-frame touch screen monitor featuring:
-
Industrial-Grade Core: At the heart of the monitor is an industrial-grade 15” LCD panel.
-
Superior Brightness: The raw panel boasts an impressive 1800-nit brightness.
-
Precision Integration: The unit was bonded with a PCAP touch panel.
-
Smart Design (Chip-on-Flex): We utilized COF construction for the touch screen controller. Eliminating the need for a separate touch controller board streamlined integration into the kiosk and improved cost-effectiveness.
-
Thermal Management: High brightness generates heat. To ensure longevity and reliability, We designed the monitor with two 40mm fans on the back to prevent overheating.
The Result: By partnering with us, the client was able to deploy their fast-food kiosks with confidence. Our touch monitor ensures that hungry customers can clearly see the menu and place orders, regardless of the lighting conditions, while the streamlined internal design kept production costs efficient.
