The Challenge:
Our client required a powerful computer to drive their 3D imaging platform for minimally invasive surgery. The computer needed to possess high resolution real-time video processing capability, ECC support, and long-lifecycle availability.
Our Solution:
We worked with our client to select a high quality German-made motherboard with MTBF of 13.5 years and a powerful Xeon processor with high core count. We then added a high powered GPU and frame grabber that could drive their 3D imaging. We integrated wireless capability to allow the system to communicate with other equipment in the OR allowing multiple users to work together simultaneously.
Technologies Used:
We selected a Kontron Extended Lifecycle ATX motherboard with an 18 core count Intel® Xeon® processor capable of rendering 3D images. Professional series GPU and high-end frame grabber.
